The Race Point Lighthouse

The Race Point Lighthouse was first lighted on November 5, 1816.  In 1840, the Keeper’s house was built. In 1852 a fog bell was installed at Race Point.

The Race Point Lighthouse will be open for touring on the first and third Saturdays from June until October.  The lighthouse will be open from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The tour is free. Any donations are deeply appreciated and directly benefit Race Point.

Long Point Lighthouse

The Long Point Lighthouse was completed in 1826.  It is an active U.S. Coast Guard aid to navigation. The grounds are open to the public, but the lighthouse is not. Long Point is accessible in summer from Provincetown via a boat shuttle

Provincetown Carnival

Provincetown Carnival is one of the largest outdoor celebrations in Massachusetts and has been named Best Festival on Cape Cod.  Carnival attracts around 90,000 revelers, and is scheduled each year in August, from all walks of life, in a celebration of our diversity and in celebration in what the U.S. Census Bureau calls the GAYEST city in America! 

Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum

The Pilgrims landed in Provincetown on the Mayflower, November 21, 1620.  The Pilgrim Monument was built between 1907 and 1910 to commemorate this first landing of the Mayflower Pilgrims in Provincetown. This monument is actually the tallest all granite structure in the U.S. Many of the interior stones have been donated by cities and towns from all over the states.  The monument consists of 116 steps and 60 ramps that lead to incredible views of Provincetown, Cape Cod Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

The museum at the foot of the Pilgrim Monument opened in 1910. The museum is dedicated to educating the public about Provincetown’s role in Pilgrim history and American history.

Provincetown Film Society

The Provincetown Film Society (PFS) first started out as the Provincetown Film Festival (PIFF) in 1999 as a means to attract economic development to the town during the shoulder month of June. Since then, the festival has attracted millions of dollars to the town and has become one of the country's preeminent film festivals.

Beech Forest Trail

Beech Forest Trail is a 0.8 mile with a moderate traffic loop trail located near Provincetown, MA that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is accessible year-round.

Commercial Street

Commercial Street is a popular shopping street in Provincetown. In addition to its many shops, restaurants and galleries, there are beautiful gardens and houses, some of which are guest houses, so strolling on Commercial Street is an entertaining and enjoyable thing to do.  Overnight at the charming Queen Vic Guest House.

Provincetown Art Association and Museum

Provincetown Art Association and Museum is located on Commercial Street, the Provincetown Art Association and Museum is the most popular museum on Cape Cod. The museum has a permanent collection of over 2,500 objects and presents about 40 exhibits each year, making the museum an important cultural and educational institution in Provincetown and the surrounding Cape Cod area.

Art’s Dune Tours

You will travel through the majestic dunes where your guide points out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers like Eugene O’Neill and Harry Kemp became inspired to create their art.

Daily Trips begin at 10 AM and ending with our special sunset tour at approximately 5:30 PM. We do request that you check departure times on the day of your tours for the exact time of your departing tour. Our daily trips are a one hour narrated tour through the historic sand dunes and National Seashore Park.

Provincetown Theater

The Provincetown Theater is a year-round theater originally known as the Provincetown Theatre Workshop.  The theater presents plays, dance performances, and staged readings and is known for championing new plays written by great American writers. The theater hosts several festivals such as the Playwrights’ Festival, the 24 Hour Theater Festival, and the Four Squared Festival. It also hosts writing workshops for children and for adults.

Old Harbor Life-Saving Station

Old Harbor Life-Saving Station was built in Chatham in 1897. The station was operated by the U.S. Coast Guard, and its precursor the U.S. Life-Saving Service, until it was decommissioned in July 1944.

Cape Cod Provincelands Trail

Cape Cod Provincelands Trail starts from Province Lands Visitor Center in Provincetown. The route is 5.25 miles long. Riding the trail is a great way to tour the vast dune system in the Province Lands area, as well as its shady Beech Forest, one of the few places within the tract with extensive tree cover.

Cherish the Journey and enjoy Provincetown from a unique angle, the water! Sail to Long Point, the site of the original Provincetown settlement. While you're there you may picnic or just take in the birds and sun.

SeaSalt Charters

SeaSalt Charters is a tour company that offers private fishing trips and whale watching tours. There are morning, afternoon, and sunset whale watching tours which leave from the Dolphin Fleet Dock on Provincetown’s MacMillan Pier.
